SCS/HB 318 - This act requires counties that, after August 28, 2001, elect to have a full-time prosecuting attorney to pay the same amount into the Missouri Prosecuting Attorneys and Circuit Attorneys' Retirement System Fund as counties of the first classification. The normal annuity of a retired prosecuting attorney of a 3rd or 4th class county that after August 28, 2001, elected to make the position full-time, shall be equal to fifty percent of the final average compensation.

This act creates an early retirement incentive for fiscal years in which the Governor proclaims an emergency.

St. Louis firefighters retirement system is modified as to the distribution of sick leave.

Public retirement plans are required to submit copies of promulgated rules to the Joint Committee on Public Employee Retirement.

Any former member of the General Assembly who served at least two full biennial assemblies with no other creditable service shall be employed as a special consultant and entitled to retire with a normal annuity.
